PowerPoint Intermediate
Description
We are all aware of the expression “Death by PowerPoint“ which has become the expression used to refer to presentations perceived as boring and uninspiring. Death by PowerPoint is a phenomenon caused by the poor use of presentation software. Key contributors to death by PowerPoint include confusing graphics, distracting animation, slides with too much text and very often too-small-to-read and presenters whose idea of a good presentation is to read 40 slides out loud. This workshop will not only deal with the technical aspects of PowerPoint but also assist in focusing on practices which contribute to delivering presentations with impact so that we move “From Death to Life with PowerPoint.“
PowerPoint is full of features which allow you to present information in a concise and exciting way. Most presenters, however, only scratch the surface of all that is available when creating a PowerPoint presentation. Acquiring an understanding that extends beyond the basic features of PowerPoint will assist in creating professional and captivating PowerPoint presentations. Rather than try to teach you everything, the focus is to create innovative and impactful business presentations.
